A Night at The Body Shop

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to go to The Body Shop event in their Brighton store and it was so much fun. On the night of the event I finished work and headed straight to All Bar One to meet some of my friends. After a quick drink we headed straight down to The Body Shop in readiness for the event! Once we got to the event we were greeted with a goody bag full of some fantastic products, a glass of prosecco and nibbles from Wagamama’s!

During the event we had a great talk from The Body Shop team, they gave us some insight of the history behind The Body Shop, as well as a talk on their products and how a lot of them are now vegan friendly and a make up demonstration which was a lot of fun to watch. We then got the opportunity to play some little games, including hook a duck which I SUCKED at sooo bad, chatting to some of the staff and other bloggers and sampling some of their fabulous products.

As some of you may or may not know I have always struggled really badly with my skin and acne, so having the opportunity to speak to some people who really know their shit about skincare was so useful for me. After talking for a very long time to a super helpful and lovely guy about my troubles with acne and what products I should and shouldn’t be using, I discovered some amazing new items to add to my skincare routine. As a result I am now obsessed with The Body Shop’s Tea Tree and Drop of Youth range. On the night of the event I purchased the Drops of Youth face peel, the Tea Tree face wash and toner and I’m already in love with them.

Now I’m not gonna lie and say my skin and completely cleared up since using these products, because it hasn’t. However, I have only been using the products for about 2 weeks and I’m really hoping they’re going to make a noticeable difference to my skin. I also have a wish list of some more products I want to get from The Body Shop which includes their Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing ButterTea Tree Flawless BB CreamDrops of Youth™ Concentrate and Drops Of Youth™ Youth Cream. My plan is to get these products as soon as possible and once I have been using my new skincare routine for a while I’ll write a blog post all about how I am finding it!

I had a really good time at The Body Shop event and learnt a lot about my skin type, skincare routines and the products/history of The Body Shop. This post is in no way sponsored I’m just a big fan of The Body Shop haha! As always thanks for reading!
