Okay so this feels weird…
As some of you may or may not know (or care for that matter) I stopped blogging about a year ago now. To be honest, I’d be pretty surprised if anyone is actually reading this right now, as my blog did quite literally fall off the face of the earth. This now means that all my hard work in getting the handful of readers that I had, was all probably for nothing, lol.
But anyway, the blog is back and hopefully for good this time. I thought I’d use this blog post to kinda explain why I took a year out from blogging and what I’ve been doing with myself for the past year.
So back in January, I moved out properly with Mark into our very own flat which was super exciting and very adult of us. Obviously once I’d moved out of my parents house I realised just how much stuff there is to do, cleaning, cooking, food shopping etc. As well as starting a new job back in the September and at the time had only recently been handed over basically the entire marketing department, I was a little over whelmed with my new hetic, busy and very adult life, which therefore lead me to stop updating my blog.
As well as this, my blog started to become something I hated, which is never something I wanted it to be. I felt guilty if a week went by and I hadn’t written a blog post and I began to feel like my blog had become work rather than a hobby, which is when I was like nope, I need to stop doing this and take some time out.
So what else have I been up to this year? Well, I went on the most amazing holiday to Marrakesh! Apart from it being sooo hot that my nail vanish was actually melting off my fingers, it was a truly amazing, relaxing and of course boozy holiday. I also finally finished my second year doing my marketing apprentice, which means I now have a foundation degree in Marketing (never thought I’d be able to say that).
Also, I’ve met some amazing people this year through blogging and Instagram who I see now and then for coffee, brunch and photo shoots. It is so much fun and generally so lovely to meet people with the same passions as you and also people who really support whatever you’re doing, I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful new group of girl friends.
And that’s kinda all I’ve done which is worth speaking about haha! I wanna be able to list a whole load of exciting things that I’ve done this year, I mean of course I’ve been out for many nice meals and lots of pub trips but in reality I do spend most of my spare time at home either reading a good old book or watching Netflix, because that’s just the crazy life I lead at just 20 years of age.
So there we have it, after many, many months of saying to myself “ahh I should really write a blog post soon” I have finally done it, now I’ve just gotta think of some ideas for future blog posts. Wish me luck!
